Jimmy Stamp is the founder of ADvsCOPY and oversees every project. A versatile writer and recovering architect with experience practicing in New Orleans and San Francisco, Jimmy started ADvsCOPY because he never stopped loving architecture even though he stopped practicing. After 15 years of writing about design for publications including The Guardian, Smithsonian, Wired, and The Journal of Architecture Education, he realized that many creative professionals were accustomed to speaking and writing in a professional jargon directed to each other, but could sometimes use help explaining their ideas to the potential clients and communities for whom they build. In addition to his work with ADvsCOPY, Jimmy continues to write for the Architect’s Newspaper, where he also serves as a member of the board.
ADvsCOPY is based in Philadelphia, PA.
